Ms. Grullon's Fourth Grade class recently linked up with a fourth grade class from a One Room Schoolhouse in Milesville, South Dakota. The children used Holy Name School's videoconferencing unit to speak live to the students from South Dakota.
The two groups of children shared ideas and stories about growing up in New York City and rural South Dakota.
The Holy Name students spoke about the New York City subway, Central Park and the Statue of Liberty. The Children from South Dakota spoke about life on the farm, cattle, the great distances they have to travel and their one room school house.
Both groups of children seemed to enjoy meeting one another.
