Dear Parents and Friends,

As we enter into 2012 the HNS calendar points out many activities that are highlights of the school year.  Of note is Catholic Schools Week and Open House, which will run concurrently from January 23rd to February 3rd.  We encourage you to encourage others to “Come and See” what’s happening at Holy Name School.  As the virtual tour on our website shows many good things happen day to day on Amsterdam and 97th Street.  Eighth graders are awaiting high school acceptance letters and 5th through 8th grades are preparing for the annual Modern Woodmen Speech Contest.
Watch for the Art Fair in March, the Science Fair in April and the 6th and 7th grade Theater Arts presentation in May.
Our students are participating in worldwide math competitions via the Mathletics Website and our teachers continue to work with professors at St. John’s University to improve our students’ math and writing skills.
Great things are happening everyday; so spread the word!
