The student of the month for
November is a child who has tried to give more and more as each day
passes. She was very hesitant when
the school year began to participate and share her thoughts with her classmates. She is beginning to open up and she is
showing everyone that even though sheŐs been quiet, she has been listening
carefully. Sometimes I ask the
children to bring things from home that may pertain to a particular lesson and
she is always the first one to bring those things in which shows how much she
cares and loves school. IŐd like
to thank this child for being so thoughtful! The Kindergarten student of the month is Michaela Joseph.

The
crisp air has come to settle in and thoughts now turn to a season of holidays.
Holidays bring joy to all and this student brings joy to my First Grade. That
great smile lightens the world. It
is with a spirit of thanksgiving that First Grade has a child of God who has
taken the newness of First Grade and is progressing nicely. He settles down and
quickly gets to work. His is
eager to assist his classmates in any way he can. When ask to help another
classmate, he is never bossy but rather very understanding and kind. May God
continue to bless him and his family. The student of the month for Grade One is
Che Ste phens.
2-1 Jayden Holley

Thanksgiving is the time to
Ňcount our blessings.Ó I am going to ŇcountÓ the ways we are blessed for our
student to the month.
1. His warm smile to begin each day.
2. The way he eagerly works to complete his work.
3. His funny commentary on all that goes
on during the day.
4. The kind way he helps his friends who are struggling.
5. Most importantly, he reminds us all that hard work could
also be fun. No matter what he
does he does it with a smile, laughing, and to the best of his ability.
Class 2-1 is blessed to have
Jayden Holley as our November student of the month!
2-2 Chryztina
Harding-Graham

As we give thanks for all of
our blessings,
Class 2-2 gives thanks for
this student. She is a perfect example of what a good student should be. She is
the kind of student who comes to school everyday enthusiastic to learn the
dayŐs lesson. Besides, her enthusiasm she is kind, polite, well spoken, respectful
and most importantly she has a strong faith in God. I hope she continues this
way for the remainder of the school year.
May the Lord, continue to bless her and her family. Class 2-2 would like
to congratulate Novembers SOM Chryztina Harding-Graham.

Our Student of the Month
for November is a very well mannered young man. He does his work with care, and is quick to help a friend in
need. He is kind and generous, and
is a student who can always be counted on to do the right thing. He truly follows the example of the
saint he is named after, and I am thankful for having him in my class. He is Nicholas Matthews.

During the month of November,
we think of all those people and things that are special to us and we offer a
heartfelt prayer of thanks to God.
Our student of the month is
someone that we are all thankful for.
This student is a young man who is impressive for many reasons. First, he is a kind and pleasant person
who makes our class more pleasant.
Second, he is a boy who does his best to understand and do what is
expected him. Third, he is a
dedicated and hard worker who puts great effort into his tasks and gets fine
results. We are looking forward to
a great year with our student of the month. Congratulations to Jervon Warlick!
5-1 Carina Lopez

This student at an early age
is concerned and curiously preoccupied with the hazards our worldŐs ecology. I
would guess she will be a noted figure in leading our world to a safer,
cleaner, and more pragmatic environment. She in such a short time is valued and
respected by both her peers and teacher. Without a doubt Class 5-1 is proud to
have selected Carina Lopez as NovemberŐs Student of the Month.
5-2 Justin Lowery

NovemberŐs SOM is an
excellent student. He is always prepared for class. He completes his
assignments to the best of his ability. He doesnŐt bother other children or
wastes time talking. He is respectful and kind to others. He is also an
excellent role model to his peers. Our student of the month has some great
qualities, congratulations to Class 5-2Ő s Justin Lowery.
6-1 Vanessa Romero

The student of the month
for November is a person whose good manners and polite ways exemplify a student
who knows how to conduct herself as a person of great character. This
individual is one who is responsible, reliable, and trustworthy. Her work is
always done neatly, illustrating the care that she invests in all she does. She
has a gentle and quiet nature, which as she grows older, will undoubtedly have
a strong influence on those around her. It is a pleasure to have her in our
class. Congratulations to Vanessa
Romero!
6-2 Crystal Agramonte

This student is a pleasure to have in class. She is always prepared and ready to
take on whatever work is in front of her even when she finds it difficult. Her ability to persevere is inspiring
to us all. Though she is quiet at
times, her bubbly personality definitely makes her one the most well liked members
in our class. This month's SOM Award goes to Crystal Agramonte
7-1 Lauren Fontanez

I remember about six years
ago when this young lady walked into my 1st grade class. She was a
great student back then and is a great student now. What I remember most is her
ability to perform at the highest level at all times.
As a seventh grade student,
she rarely misses a beat and shows respect to those that warrant respect. She
has had her share of issues (drama), but what young lady has not gone through
the trials and tribulations of being a girl. I am glad to see that through all
of her issues, she has continued to be herself, a sweet young lady with a
beautiful smile.
Her grades reflect her hard
work ethics and attitude and she produces excellence each and every time. Her
90+ average tells all that she is, one of the best. I am glad to have her
as 7-1Ős Student of the
Month because she has grown from that little girl into a wonderful young lady.
For those that do not believe, sit down and talk to her one day for you will
see a positive change. Congratulations and good job,
Lauren Fontanez.
7-2 Jethro Dede

November is a month to be thankful. I have to say, I am thankful for this
student. However, at first I was
neither keen nor thankful of the idea of having a new student in my class. Surprisingly enough, I quickly reverted
my feelings. This student is a
breath of fresh air. It is so
refreshing to see a student just genuinely nice, pleasant, and polite. On top of that, he has such a thirst
for learning. Through his determination, in one month, he has managed to go
from not speaking English to being able to communicate with his teachers and
his peers. He has also adapted to the costumes of our family here at Holy Name.
This student has come a long way, literally.
He comes all the way from Africa. One of our three PŐs in 7th
grade is perseverance and he exhibits this each day as he overcomes obstacles
such as language, culture, and newness.
8-1 Krystal Vera

There is really nothing I can
say about this child that is not pleasant. She is perfect! She is a delight to both her parents and teachers.
She works hard and is incredibly well behaved; with these attributes she will
bring joy wherever she goes in life. Bravo! Krystal Vera, 8-1Ős November
Student of the Month.
8-2 Jonathan Collie

The first quarter has come
and gone and 8th graders are now beginning to see the fruits of
their labor. Yes, thatŐs right, reality is setting in. Soon it will be Thanksgiving and we
will all be celebrating in one form or another for the blessings bestowed on us
from our creator. Others not
so fortunate will finally be giving thanks to God for children like those in
Holy Name School who contributed food so that those less fortunate can have a
descent meal on such a special day.
When I think of Holy Name,
many things come to mind and many people as well. In homeroom 8-2 a special student comes to mind that truly
reflects the spirit and wonder of Holy Name School. This young man is bright, caring, polite and very
helpful. He has the potential of
becoming a true leader. This young man has good morals, a testament to his
parents, who have given him a great sense of family values. He heard of the
Thanksgiving food drive; volunteered and took charge. So far, I can
say that I am impressed with how much food has been collected and how many
lives this young man has touched without realizing it. Sometimes, being a straight A student is not everything in life. As far as I am concerned, you are
straight AŐs in the eyes of
God and the many of those you will help feed this Thanksgiving. God Bless you and all who helped on
this food drive. Congratulations!
Jonathan Collie.
