NOVEMBER STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Kindergarten Kai Rendon

Kindergartenıs student of the month for November is a child who has come such a long way in just two months.  He started out the year being very shy about participating in class and he hardly spoke.  He would never raise his hand to answer questions.  Then little by little he began raising his hand to answer one or two questions a day.  Now he excitedly raises his hand to answer every single question I ask.  It is remarkable to see so much progress in a child in such a short time.  I am so proud of this student.  Congratulations to Kai Rendon!

1-1 Brianna Jones

This beautiful child of God is but one of the many roses in God's garden.  She shines with iridescent light that illuminates Class 1-1.

She models the best of Holy Name of Jesus School. During this month of remembering saints, souls and veterans, Class 1-1 holds one child up as example to all others to imitate and she is Brianna Jones.

1-2 Frandi Kunhardt

The SOM for Class 1-2 is a sweet child who comes to school everyday ready to learn the dayıs lessons. When this student first came into my class he was very shy and did not have any confidence in himself. I am happy to report that little by little he has started to gain confidence himself and his work shows it. He is always polite and respectful to everyone around him and is always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He is truly a pleasure to have in our class. May all the Saints always guide him and protect him. Congratulations, to class 1-2 SOM Frandi Kunhardt.

2-1 Amaya Davis

This is the month of giving thanks for all the things God blesses us with.  This year God blessed me with a wonderful class, but one student stands out for all that she gives of herself.  She gives her work all of her effort.  She gives us a smile to start the day.  She gives the other students a model on how to try your best and how to be a great friend.  We are thankful for 2-1ıs Student of the Month and we are proud to give this honor to Amaya Davis.

2-2 Anjahli Jenkins

In the season when we are reflecting on what we are thankful for, 2-2 is grateful for our Student of the Month. She is a remarkable student for her courageousness, strength, and perseverance. Its been inspiring to see her smile growing wider and brighter over the last few months. We enjoy her sense of humor, her caring ways, and soft voice. Her friends and I wish her great health and happiness.  And may she continue working hard toward becoming an academic superstar. Congratulations to Anjahli Jenkins.

3rd Javier Amador

This month of Thanksgiving, I am especially appreciative for this SOM. He is a teacherıs reliable helper that interacts well with others.  He shows pride in his work, which is always neatly and completely done.  He is also a talented singer.  If his on-stage performance matches his classroom performance, and Iım sure it will, we can expect the ³Emperorıs New Clothes² to be a huge success.  Congratulations and good luck, Javier Amador!

4-1 Reina Rivera

This month, Class 4-1 honors a child who has made a fine and positive impression on all of us since the beginning of the year.  This student is a hard and diligent worker who consistently produces work that is neat, complete and correct.   She is attentive in class and pays attention to class rules.  In addition to all this, she has shown herself to be a responsible student, the kind of person who can be counted on to complete a task to the very best of her ability.  Our class is blessed by her presence and we wish her good things for the rest of the year.  She is Reina Rivera.

4-2 Paige McCollin

The SOM for November is a very cooperative and alert fourth grader who accepts responsibility beautifully.  You can always depend on her to set a good example in citizenship.  She is working hard to maintain her grades.  She is very polite and has a very cheery attitude.  It is a pleasure having her in my class.  The SOM for November is Paige McCollin, congratulations.

5-1 Avante Davis

This student displays a keen sensitivity to his peers and teachers. He always remembers the needs applicable to desensitizing a complicated and difficult situation. He is a natural peacemaker! With these godsend attributes, his future will be an enlightened one. Class 5-1 is proud to select Avante Davis as Novemberıs Student Of The Month.

5-2 Dionne Muyalde

5-2 SOM is an excellent student, who is always prepare and eager to learn.  She has great qualities, is well like by her peers, and always has a warm smile. She completes her assignments to the best of her ability. She has great leadership and is a great role model to her peers. Congratulations! Dionne Muyalde.

6-1 David Estrada

November SOM is a student who tries very hard to be successful in all areas.  He is a hard working, caring and respectful student who comes to school with a positive attitude and an open mind to learning. It is obvious by the appearance of his class work and homework that he takes great care and pride in completing his assignments.  He is a positive example of what all students should strive to be.  Congratulations to David Estrada.

6-2 Tiffany Toribio

This student is a joy to teach.  She enjoys learning and is extremely responsible.  She can be shy at times but she is never shy about raising her hand and expressing her opinions.  She is prompt in completing her work and always hands it in neatly.  This monthıs SOM award goes to Tiffany Toribio.

7-1  Anika Isaac

November is a time when all celebrate the holiday, thanksgiving, family, and friends. It is a time when many show concern and apathy for others. For November, I have chosen a student that epitomizes the nature of giving.

Five reasons why I feel this young lady deserves to be Novemberıs somŠ.

1.   She is a very caring and helpful person.

2.   She comes to school each day ready to learn.

3.   She willingly helps classmates and adults.

4.   She focuses on achieving success.

5.   She is honest and trustworthy.

I can keep going, but we would be here until Christmas. Keep up the good work and continue to shine a bright light. Congratulations and good job, Anika Isaac

7-2 Jose Buelto

I absolutely adore Novemberıs student of the month.  He is a student that epitomizes the word Amazing.  He is quite mature for his age.  He is respectful, polite, helpful, intelligent, and just so sweet. This student also works extremely hard to achieve academic success. Although he is a bit bashful, he is not afraid to be successful and take a bite out of education. He is a student to look out for in the future. It is my pleasure to present 7-2ıs Silent Thunder, Jose Buelto.

8-1 Krystal Lozada

This young lady is a joy to teach. Her high grades demonstrate that she is highly motivated when it comes to her academics. She is always willing to help and make herself useful. She is a positive human being and her presence brings light and excitement to 8-1. This kindness and graciousness that outline her character indicate that she will go far in the world. Congratulations to 8-1ıs November  SOM Krystal Lozada!!!

8-2Christian Malave

Like a chameleon, this student has assimilated well into his new environment.   To be honest, I would have never known that he was not a regular from last year.

This young man has been a hard worker since day one.  When he is absent he goes to his teachers to make up any missing assignments.  He is polite, full of energy, and has he a wonderful sense of humor.   He fits in so well, that anyone would think he has been here since Pre-K.

Itıs not easy to be one of the new kids on the block especially in 8th grade, but this young man has managed to carry himself well and has become one of the family.  Christian, keep up the good work and welcome to Holy Nameıs 8th Grade Class of 2008!
