MARCH STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Kindergarten    David Buzon

Trains, planes, and automobiles are some of this studentÕs favorite things.  But this student has a lot of different interests.  Can you believe after a lesson on presidents, he went home and looked up all the presidents on the Internet!  He came back and shared with me that he had learned that John Adams was the second president of the United States.  Yes, and heÕs just a Kindergartner.  The maturity this child shows is outstanding!  We are proud to say that David Buzon is the March student of the month for Kindergarten.

1st Grade Leo Samuel

What does the month of march have to do with the student of the month for first grade? Well, letÕs think about how March came inÉlike a lion!!! Now this child is no lion but his name comes from lion. The student of the month for first grade is one of jesusÕ most gentle lambs. This child is so kind. His classmates love to play with him. He shares and always thinks about others. He has no meanness in him. I love his eagerness to get his problem of the day completed as soon as he gets to class.

This child is a credit to his mom and dad.

it is with the greatest joy that first grade can give Holy Name Of Jesus School another shinning example of holiness and name Leo Samuel our Student Of The Month.

2-1 Timothy Davis

The cold days of winter will soon be behind us.  We are looking forward to the season of spring and new life and there is not better time than now to start fresh and new.  Our student of the month could serve as a model to other students.  He is kind and compassionate.  He always tries his best, and even if he doesnÕt succeed, he never gives up.  Other students admire him for this and have recommended him to become student of the month.  Class 2-1 I agree with your choice of Timothy Davis as our March student of the month.  Timothy we love you and are proud to have you as our SOM

2-2  Genesis Ortiz

The SOM for March is a student who is truly a pleasure to have in our class. This young lady is a perfect example of what a good student should be. If you come to our classroom you will always find her hard at work or reading a book. She is always prepared for class and her work is impeccable. Her quite demeanor and seriousness would make you think she is not friendly. On the contrary she is a sweet child with a big bright smile. Her classmates really look up to her. If she continues this way I see a bright future for this young lady. Congratulations to class 2-2 SOM Genesis Ortiz.

4th Delilah Raimuindi

There is a student in the fourth grade that is a pleasure to teach and spend the day with.

She is a valued member of our class because of the positive energy and quiet enthusiasm she brings to school each day.

This student works hard each day and puts her very best into her assignments.

She is kind and polite to her classmates and as a result she is respected and well liked.

During this month of March as we journey through Lent on our way to Easter, we honor this young lady for the example she sets that helps us know how to follow Christ.

Our student of the month is Delilah Raimuindi.

5-1    Caitlyn Paniaqua

This student is a conscientious child and student. To see a student with a healthy amount of self - esteem and self Đconfidence, but not requiring a great deal of praise or attention is a breath of fresh air. This fine attitude and exemplary spirit of cooperation are reflected in her excellent work. It is a pleasure to work with such a capable child. Class 5-1 is proud to have chosen Caitlyn Paniaqua as MarchÕs SOM.

5-2 Jasenia Dominguez

There is a saying, Ōyou canÕt judge a book by its coverĶ.  MarchÕs  SOM is like a plain book with just a title. You cannot tell weather itÕs going to be good reading or bad reading. Well, just like a book our SOM can be misread .When you get to know this young lady she does have a warm smile and an engaging personality. SheÕs respectful and has a lot to offer.  SheÕs like that book you didnÕt want to read at first, but then after a few pages you stop reading. Thank and you congratulations to 5-2Õs SOM , Jasenia Dominguez

6-1 Avante Davis

This SOM is a young man who is an excellent student.  He is a quiet, but hard working student who extracts the most from every school day.  It is obvious by the appearance of his class work and homework that he takes great care and pride in completing his assignments.  In addition to his academic diligence, he is also kind, respectful, courteous and helpful to his fellow students and teachers.  His school and family can be very proud of him.  Congratulations to Avante Davis

6-2    Carlianni  Delgado.

This student is the reason why teachers enjoy their job. This student has continuously tried to do her best since the beginning of school.   I have seen growth in the quality of her work and in her personality.  She hands in excellent work and she is one of the most popular girls in the class because she is so kind to her peers.  It gives me great pleasure to give this award to someone so deserving.  This monthÕs SOM Award goes to Carlianni  Delgado.

7-1    Tiffany Serrano

Turn the lights off because MarchÕs SOM has a smile that lights up the building. She is one of the best in 7th grade and I am glad to have her in my class. Her ladylike mannerisms show her emotional and physical growth as well as her maturity. Her kindness is overwhelming, but do not let her calm demeanor fool you, for she is fierce when the situation arises. Her academics have always been outstanding and I am glad she did not let 7th grade defeat her ability to do very well. In the beginning, it was tough, adjusting to the increased demands of 7th grade, but she managed to put forth her best effort and now she is shining bright. I guess that is why she can light up a building. Her presence enlightens others as I have only seen smiles from all that cross her path.  I congratulate her on her success and award her with the title of March,  2009 SOM. Good job and keep up the good work, Tiffany Serrano!

7-2 Michael Muyalde

8-1 Shikia Bazil

We are now in the third quarter and many students have allowed their grades to drop while others have steadily improved. This young lady has always known her goal and has charged towards this goal like a soldier. She never allows her grades to slip and if she thinks she can do better, she always approaches the teacher. The way she handles her business and with her sharp intellect and wit; it is possible to see this young lady as a top CEO or President one day. Ō So, madam president, keep moving towards your goals and one day you will reach them!Ķ Congratulations to 8-1Õs March Student of the Month, SHIKIA BAZIL!

8-2 Rachid Telfort

Spring will soon be here and soon things will begin to wind down.  The third quarterÕs almost gone and 8th graders are now beginning to see the fruits of their labor.  Yes, thatÕs right, reality is setting in.  Soon the halls will be empty and Holy Name will be just a memory for some 8th graders and for others it will be like losing a second home, a family.

When I think of Holy Name, many things come to mind and many people as well.  In homeroom 8-2 a special student comes to mind that truly reflects the spirit and wonder of Holy Name School.  This young man is bright, caring, polite and very talented.  He is a model student and a true leader. This young man has good morals, a testament to his parents, who have given him a great sense of family values. He also knows how to be a good friend, son and classmate.

 Congratulations! Rachid Telfort
