The first photo was taken on the school roof about 1939-1940. Mary Ellen Farricker, is shown third from the right at the top row. She, plus many of the other girls were in "The Catholic Daughters of America". It was a national Catholic organization. Their uniforms consisted of white dresses and shoes. They wore green capes and green berets and marched in parades such as St. Patrick's Day and other religious and civil celebrations.
