Home Run

On warm Sundays with blue skies, two teams get together and play baseball in Sentence Park. Roger Noun, an important player, was the captain of the first team. He and his alternate, Paul Pronoun would run the team practices. Arnold Adjective was the sports writer who would go to the games. He loved to talk and write about Roger Noun.

On the other team was Victor Verb. Victor Verb could run, throw, and catch better than anybody else. His biggest fan, Anthony Adverb was the second base man. He loved to talk about Victor. Victor Verb's girlfriend, Cynthia Interjection, was the cheerleader. She was full of enthusiasm and pep.

Carl Conjunction, the guy that brought everyone together, organized the games. Once he decided on a time, he would call Peter Preposition, the bus driver who drove the players to the game. The two teams always had a lot of fun and played very well. They were always sad when the game was over but looked forward to next week's game.
