The Ecosystem

In the world of a sentence strange but important creatures roam this land. The verb is the most important creature. Without a verb the sentence would not exist, since the verb provides action to all creatures. The adverb gives theverb special abilities. For example, it allows the verb to jump high or low instead of all verbs jumping at the same height.

The nouns are like the bacteria in our world. Nouns are the largest variety around.

The nouns can be in the subject and predicate of the sentence, but the pronouns can take their place when the nouns don't want to be in.

The adjective describes a noun or pronoun. The adjective makes their world more interesting. It gives color, shape, and the personality of the noun or pronoun.

The interjections and conjunctions are the most annoying creatures of all. The interjection is a very noisy creature. It yells when angry, excited, sad, or even bored. The conjunction is like a parasite. It is always living off of other creatures.

The preposition can't work alone. It always needs the object or else it becomes an adverb. The next time you look at a sentence remember that it is another world.
